Version 3.0 · out now

Two art directions.
One game.

Bubbles drift up the screen. Tap to pop them before they slip off the top — miss five and the run ends. Not a bubble shooter: nothing to aim, nothing to match, no board to clear. Just one thumb, and a screen that keeps filling. Version 3.0 adds Abyss — the whole game redrawn as deep-sea life — free.

The skins

Same rules. Two worlds.

A skin changes only how the game is drawn — never how visible it is. Same hit radii, same silhouettes to read, same curve. Switch between runs, keep your scores.

Abyss: every bubble is something alive.

Six creatures carry every role you already know — one normal and five specials. Silhouettes stay distinct so you can still read the field in peripheral vision at full speed, and every one of them is geometry, not artwork.

How to play

One thumb. Endless drift.

Tap the bubbles

They drift up the screen. Tap to pop — touch to burst, note and haptic land together. Nothing to aim, nothing to drag.

Chain them

Pops without a miss build the combo, and the combo multiplies the score. Every pop climbs the scale.

Miss five, run over

Five lives in Normal and Chaos. Zen has none to lose — it cannot end.

Ride the curve

The screen does not switch modes, it becomes the difficulty: faster spawns, smaller bubbles, hotter light.

Try it

Play a round, right here.

Not a mock-up. This is the game's own difficulty curve, spawn weights and scoring, running on a virtual iPhone screen — same silhouettes, same scale-locked notes, same forgiving hit radius. Chaos, the 18 worlds, leaderboards and haptics stay in the app.

One thumb. Endless drift.

Tap the bubbles. Miss 5, run over.

Arrows + space work too

Five lives, and the pace is set by how well you play: every 40 pops the bubbles speed up 8%, to a ceiling of ×2.

Glass bubble — the main character×1
Star — the payout×3
Ghost — faint, and nearly twice as fast×1
Hexagon — big, slow, worth the wait×5
Bolt — chains the 3 nearest×2
Bomb — clears the screen, +2 each×4

Combo is the whole game: base points are 1 + combo/10, so a streak is worth more than a grind. Your best is kept in this browser only — nothing is sent anywhere.

Worlds

18 worlds. All earned by playing.

Each world is a palette and a mood — the same rules under a different light. Three are open from your first tap, and every bubble you have ever popped counts toward the rest. Nothing here is behind a paywall.

In the game today

Calm to frantic, in one curve.

Three modes

Zen cannot be lost — pop and breathe. Normal gives you five lives. Chaos is the reflex test.

Specials that read fast

Bombs clear the screen, lightning chains the 3 nearest, ghosts hide, giants pay out — and you know which is which from the silhouette, before the colour.

Every bubble sings

Each type is its own instrument, all tuned to one scale — a glass pluck, a chime, a hollow sigh, a low boom. A fast run plays an ensemble instead of noise.

Leaderboards with a standing

Game Center bests for Normal and Chaos, kept separately, plus a Top X% so a score means something. Zen is not ranked — that is the point.

Prestige materials

The Silver, Gold and Diamond tiers give your bubbles a material of their own: orbiting stardust in Glass, a sculling octopus in Abyss.

Progress that follows you

iCloud carries pops, worlds and bests to your next iPhone. Nothing left behind.

One thumb, anywhere

Portrait, one-handed, fully offline — no account, no connection, no interruptions. Smooth 120 Hz play, with sound, light and haptics landing the instant you touch the glass.

Made to be played by more people

Dynamic Type tested to AX5, Reduce Motion honoured in every animation of both skins, and colour vision re-checked across all 18 worlds. The detail is here — including what is not supported and what is currently broken.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What is Bubble Drift?

A one-thumb arcade game for iPhone. Bubbles drift up, you tap them, combos multiply the score, and the pace climbs from calm to chaos. Runs are short; the curve is the game.

Is this a bubble shooter?

No — and that is the most useful thing to know about it. There is nothing to aim, nothing to match, and no board to clear. You are not firing a bubble at a cluster from the bottom of the screen. Bubbles rise, you tap the ones you can reach, and the only pressure is how fast they arrive. If you came looking for a match-three shooter, this is not that game; if you are tired of them, it might be exactly the one.

What is Abyss?

Abyss is a second art direction, added in version 3.0 — the whole game redrawn as deep-sea life. Normals become medusas; the five specials become an anglerfish, a glass squid, a nautilus, an eel and an urchin; the 18 worlds become 18 depth zones. Same rules, same difficulty, a different animal on the other side of the glass.

Does Abyss cost extra?

No. Abyss is free with the 3.0 update, for everyone.

Is Bubble Drift free?

Yes. Optional in-app purchases remove ads and unlock the premium prestige materials (Silver, Gold, Diamond). Worlds and skins are earned by playing.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. The game plays fully offline with no account. A connection only adds leaderboards and iCloud sync.

Is it built for accessibility?

Colour-blind-safe by design — type reads from silhouette first, colour second, re-verified across all 18 worlds on 31 July 2026. Dynamic Type is tested to AX5 and every animation in both skins routes through a single Reduce Motion gate. VoiceOver is not supported: the game cannot be played with it switched on. One thing is currently broken — the high-visibility toggle reduces contrast instead of raising it. The accessibility page states both plainly.
